New Direction Youth Transport Services
The events leading up to a guardian or parent’s decision to send their youth-at-risk to an intervention program, school or care facility can place enormous strain on a family. We understand the emotional toll involved and too, how incredibly stressful this can be. At New Directions it’s our aim to make the transport process for you and your family, as simple, quick and stress free as possible. Not all situations are the same... as also, no two children are the same.
Most importantly, respect, empathy, kindness and the genuine
understanding of every child, cannot be underscored enough
In the thousands of transports we have successfully performed, we offer the below as an overview.
Please see our FAQ page for more information.
Safely Transporting your youth at risk with New Directions (ND)
Reach out to us; fill out our paperwork (we understand there is so much paperwork through all aspects of this process: we try to keep ours to a minimum),
Once you have received confirmation that your child has been accepted into a treatment program—our ND Agents are standing by.
Typically:
1. Reach out to us for a quote: if we are a go, parents notify us of confirmed intake for new program/facility
2. New Direction will send payment details and begin logistics and work in tandem with the new facility
3. Please fill out and return our paperwork. Upload or email to us directly.
4. Once complete and payment confirmation is received:
5. We provide you with your personalized itinerary/plan
----->Prior to transport your Lead ND Agent will reach out to you directly via phone to discuss your personalized transport plan with you and answer any questions you many have.
6. Chain of custody, and transport begins
7. ND Agents safely transfer custody of your child, to your chosen program
Once they arrive at the program, our ND agents will transfer your child to the program’s waiting contact. They will hand over all remaining belongings, medication and paperwork. They will give the staff a quick debrief of your child’s behavior during transport. Our Lead Agent will have the program contact and/or staff performing intake sign chain of custody paperwork, and say their goodbyes to your child. See FAQ page for more information in regards to this final step.
8. Parent Update Call
Once our ND team clears the program/facility/school, our ND agents will call to personally let you know that your child has safely arrived, explaining how their transport went and answer any further questions.
9. We love to hear how we did! Please always feel free to provide us with a review of your transport process which we will redact for safety (identifying names/locations) and post with your permission.
